People are very much into techniques As we move through the talk, we’ll talk about that. The advantages and disadvantages techniques. The most important thing on your path is your intent. You learn all the techniques you want, but you don’t know why you’re using them and they’re not aimed at the highest they are where they are. You can do a healthy yoga, you can get healthy, you can do mantras, quiet your mind down that has nothing to do with the meaning of your life, can make it a little more enjoyable. So we always have the talks that lay down what is going on. So let’s do that very simply in the beginning and then move on. What is going on is you’re supposed to be an ecstasy. The whole purpose of creation is for the divine being who is universal, infinite, everywhere through all the galaxies, trillions, trillions, everywhere, all around is the source of all the quantum fields that generate everything you see, it’s just everything.
The purpose of creation is to express and experience itself, himself, herself. Call it whatever you want. An artist feels creativity and they want to put it down on music or put it down on a canvas or a sculpture, and then they want to look at it. It express their self, express their beauty. Well, God is everything. It’s everything alpha to omega, the beginning, the end, everything, and the purpose of creation. It doesn’t need to be creation. Everything already is. It’s all ecstatic, but to express itself and then experience itself is the entire intent of creation. That’s why it exists. Alright, so what’s that got to do with me? Well, it’s supposed to have a lot to do with you since you are the purpose of creation and you are the expression of creation and you are God experiencing God, God experience itself. It’s supposed to be, meant to be, can be an ecstatic experience.
Everything, everything, birth, death, sickness, health, every single thing is an experience and the experience is ecstatic. The experience is rich, the experience is what it’s all about, but what went wrong because that’s kind of not how it is, at least not on this tiny little planet. Maybe it’s that way everyone else, but all I know is on this little planet in the middle of nowheres, we kind of got it messed up. How difficult is it to understand why we are messed up? Why it is messed up? It’s not difficult at all. It’s absolutely not difficult at all. We talk about it all the time, so let’s just get that over with quickly. The only reason you are not in ecstasy, you’re not in a state of complete divine bliss, nirvana, Christ oneness. Everything is because you got a little too close to the creation that you’re experiencing and you started to identify with it.
Instead of realizing that I am the divine consciousness and if I’m going to experience everything, I need ambassadors in every place that exists and they are passing creation back to me through the senses. So the physical plane has to express itself and then it comes in and finds its way back to consciousness, which is the entire purpose. If you make a painting, it’s outside, you made it onto the physical plane, but you experience it by coming back in and touching you, and so there’s just this ecstasy that which is your creation comes back and merges into you and creates the ecstasy that was expressed when you created it. It’s just the most beautiful dance that could possibly exist. The trouble is that the ray of experience, the consciousness that’s experiencing what it’s experiencing gets lost in the experience. We talked about this all the time.
It gets lost in the experience instead of just experiencing the experience and it starts to develop these things called likes and dislikes, which are completely absurd. Like all of art is expressive of everything. Dark art, light art. Instead, men, women, old, young, birth, death, there’s all expressions of creation and of course they have their own vibrations. They’re not denying that, but every single thing, there’s a whole experience and because you’re divine, you’re everything. You can experience everything, but if you get lost in the experience instead of just experiencing the experience, you start to develop what we call preferences. You start to develop. I like that experience, but I didn’t like that experience. That’s the end of it. The moment you do that, you’re no longer merged in God. You are, but you lost yourself in this, in-between stage of developing a self-concept, developing an ego, developing a psyche in between your divine consciousness and the experience that you’re having.
You built this thing that said, I’m the person that doesn’t like that. I’m the person that likes it. Where is that thing? It is nowhere. It’s like a cloud in the sky. It is just a thing you made up, you built. How did you do that? You used your consciousness to resist the experience. That’s all it takes. If you’re open, the experience comes in, passes through. Let’s talk about that. What’s it like to be open? You’re open. There are some times in your life very rare that you’ve been open. Maybe a hug, maybe a sunset, maybe a moment with a pet that you just melt into the moment. That is when the moment comes in, nothing resisted. It’s so gorgeous, it just merges back into your consciousness. Like all the waters flow into the ocean and you’re richer for that. You’re richer. You had the experience.
That is the purpose of creation. It has no other purpose but for this consciousness to experience what it made and you are that you are the ambassador of that. You are allowing that to happen. But if your consciousness for whatever reason, and I don’t talk about it, that’s really the original sin. Why did it happen that you resisted an experience? Why did it happen that the consciousness wasn’t able to allow this experience to come all the way back and merge back into it? Just the vibration of this experience was such that this thing called resistance took place and the consciousness used its power, its focus to hold back the flow of the experience so it doesn’t come all the way in and then you close. It creates a closure. And so now you start storing these experiences that you didn’t let pass through into you and you’ve done that.
That’s what you say in the vernacular, very spiritual. Get this, it is not a Sanskrit. It means you’re full of it. That’s what you’re full of, the stuff you stored in there, alright? It was supposed to make it through. It was supposed to make you rich and whole and the experience of God. The experience of creation is God experiencing God, but you interfered this will, this individual will told you will is the focus of consciousness. If consciousness focuses on something as opposed to something else, that something has more focus on, it is more powerful. So whether it’s you focus on it because you liked it or you focus on it because you didn’t like it, it’s staying. You held it inside by putting more focus on it than another. If you’re sitting in the field and you’re out there in the field, you go walk in the field, there’s trees, there’s blades of grass, there’s sunshine, there’s clouds, there’s noises, and there’s a rattlesnake.
Guess what? You see that rattlesnake gets more of your consciousness than the blades of grass. Everything’s equal. Everything’s the same, but not to you. It’s not the same. You put much more focus. You can become so fixated on the rattlesnake that finally crawls away and somebody says, what else was there? I have no idea. Was there grass or snow? I don’t know. You understand that you took your consciousness and focused it fully on that object and then that object is part of your life now. The grass passed through, the trees pass through, the clouds passed through, but no, that didn’t pass through. Why? Because you held it by focusing on it more. You put more energy, more shakti on it. What if it tries to come back up later? You push it back down. It’s just as uncomfortable when you think about it 10 years later.
And when you talk about it, you get all weird because you stored it in there. And so now you started building this storehouse of things that you didn’t like. What about things you do like you do the same exact thing. It’s like I’m in a room and there’s thousands of people, but I only have eyes for you dear. If they ask you what was served, what was the architecture like? I don’t know. Okay, so you held it, you held inside and years later when it comes back up, you’ll feel that same feeling unless in between you broke up. Then it’s feeling changes. But the point is, you’re storing this stuff inside. It’s not all equal to you. Do you understand that? I know as humans you want to fight with me and say it’s not equal. It is equal. It is all the same. How do I know?
Look at the periodic table. You know what periodic table looks like? Oh, you don’t have to be physicists. You know what periodic table looks like, right? Show me which element you like and which you don’t like. Show me which one’s male, show me which one’s female. Show me which one’s old show which one’s new. Everything’s made of those elements. Every single thing’s made of those elements. The trees, the grass, women, men, this, that, every single thing. It’s made of those atoms, period. So that’s the truth, isn’t it? But in between that truth that you all know intellectually, there’s this stuff that you call your humanness that is filled with like and dislike and preferences and hopes and dreams and concepts and views and beliefs, isn’t it? Those things are not real. Show me a concept, show ’em a belief, show me a hope. They’re not out here and they’re not in your consciousness.
You built them. You built this psyche, this cage, this thing that you built. That’s the tree, the tree of self-knowledge that you ate of. So now you get to be human, which means what? You don’t get to have ecstasy, so don’t defend, but I’m human. No, you’re not. You built a human out of the resistances that you either pushed away or clung to your past experiences were meant to make you great. Were meant to just make you all full of God. You’re totally experiencing it. It’s beautiful, but you didn’t, you resisted. You held stuff back either because you really liked it or you didn’t like it, and that’s it. That’s a great Buddhist teachings that the cause of all suffering is preference. He’s right. And I’m not saying you can’t have preferences, you have to be willing to listen to the truth even though you can’t live it right now.
The truth of the matter is it’s all Adams. And the truth of the matter is, as I’ve told you, there are no Adams. I used to be able to teach that it’s all Adams. No, it’s not. There are no atoms. Okay? It’s electron nutrient proton. No, it’s not. There are no electron nutrients or protons. There are no subatomic particles. There’s just waves. The quantum fields that get agitated and little waves in the field happen and it seems to be behave as though they’re particles, but they’re not. They’re just energy. It’s all energy. Equal, equal. Mc squared. Doesn’t matter. You have to know the physics. Just understand. It’s not even atoms, it’s not even elements. There’s nothing out there. Guys, the closest I can come because they say you can’t conceptualize that. The deep stuff. In the old days we didn’t have digital movies. We had straight light bulbs, projector light bulbs that shined through a film.
Well, that’s the truth. If you turned around in that movie and you weren’t so absorbed, you’d see array of light, you passing through a piece of film, kind of boring, okay? I mean who would watch James Bomb or Mission Impossible or anything if they just looking at a light bulb passing through some moving film. But when that light goes through that differentiating film and ends up on that screen, it looks like something doesn’t that it looks like there’s cars and people and things and love and divorces and marriages and oh my God, there’s so much going on, there’s nothing going on. Turn around. It’s light hitting the screen, but it first went through this film. What’s going on here? How can it all be light? How can this whole thing be made of light the same exact way underneath? There’s just light. That’s why the greatest paradox is that the speed of light is fixed.
It’s the same no matter what. It should blow your mind. If you drive in a car at 80 miles an hour and somebody’s standing still, they see an 80 mile an hour car go by. Now you drive next to ’em at 80 miles an hour and take a speed gun and see what it says. Zero both driving side by side, same speed. If you do that with light while you’re standing still, it goes past 186,000 miles per second. Get on a light beam and travel equally in the same direction as the light and take out your speed gun. It will be $186 per second. That’s what it means. That’s blow your mind that the speed of light is a constant no matter what, no matter how fast you’re going, if you’re going opposite direct doesn’t make any difference. It’s always 186,000 miles per second. How can that be to me?
I have fun contemplating that. The only way you can contemplate that, how could that be? It’s all made of light. The car’s made of light, the beam is made of light. It’s all that bulb. So every single thing on that screen is going the same speed, isn’t it? Alright, I just want to drop a little thought. Okay? So there’s really nothing there. There’s nothing there. But we humans not only don’t want to hear it, we surely live in it. Why? Because we developed this system of psyche made out of mind and heart and these things, we just stored them inside of us based on our past experiences. Every single one of you have different preferences and those are due to your past experiences. You don’t have preferences about something you never experienced, but if you experienced it was nice, you want to happen again, for sure.
If it wasn’t nice, you don’t want it happen again. And you think that’s logical, that’s a major problem. That’s the bane of your existence. That will destroy the meaning of your life. Why? Because now the meaning of your life is to come out here where nothing’s going on really and try to manipulate to make it be what you want and not be what you don’t want. And you will spend your entire life doing that. And that’s what’s meant when you were thrown from the garden. It said you must work for the sweat of your brow to be okay as opposed to being an ecstasy experiencing everything now you better get to work only, okay? If it matches your stuff and you’re never okay if it doesn’t match your stuff or it matches your negative stuff, it usually take a whole hour to discuss that. I assume you have gotten that.
That’s what’s going on. What is the meaning of life? The meaning of life can’t possibly be to build a building to have a child. Bye. You’re leaving. Say bye-Bye. Say bye bye. You get to be here for how long? 80. 90, a hundred years there’s been here for 4.5 billion. You’re just coming and going. You’re here for a moment, not even a blink of an eye and you decided to suffer while you’re here to struggle and have headaches and tension and anxiety and fears. You did that. God did not do that. God came down to experience the such adic bliss of his being by experiencing what he created out of bliss and you kind of decided, nah, I don’t think so. I don’t make a royal mess out of this thing. Okay, there we are. That’s what’s going on. What is the meaning of life? Everyone’s life, everyone’s, even a protozoas in amoebas all have the same meaning of life, which is come back, let go and merge, get back to the garden, got to get us back to the garden with stock.
It’s just like, can you stop this garbage? Since your consciousness is completely pure, the light that is making the movie, the light’s the same all the time. It doesn’t matter what it’s showing. X-rated R-rated peak, G, anything. The light does not change. There’s no sin, there’s no this, there’s no that. There’s just the pure beam of pure light, but it’s shining through your psyche. It’s shining through what you collected. You made the film. So there you are. The meaning of your life, the meaning of everyone’s life is to let go, to find your way back to what’s meant to be, to allow God to experience the ecstasy of his creation and inside of you. That’s what the great ones, that’s what enlightened being is. Enlightened, okay? Is that they’re back in that light. They’re back in that merger, just sitting in that ecstasy. What is nirvana?
I don’t want to talk about it. So few people have ever experienced such a thing. Even imagine there is such a thing, no matter just sitting there doing nothing and just having beams of waves, of throngs, of ecstasy pouring through your being beyond man woman stuff beyond winning the lottery 7 billion times beyond and it’s just pouring through your being and that’s who you are and you bring that down to earth. That’s who you are. So the meaning of your life is self-Realization is merger is coming back to the origin of your being, which is divine, which is God. Alright? How does one do that there I got the groundwork earlier than normal. Do you understand? How do you do that? Well, some people teach renunciation since the world has made these impressions and when you experience it, it brings up these impressions. You hear me?
Doesn’t it hit your stuff? That’s the words we use very Buddhist term. Hit your stuff, but that’s what it is. You’re some scars. It comes in. Then the answer is renounce the world. Don’t touch it. Stay away from it. Don’t do money, don’t do relationships, don’t do anything. Stay away from all of it so that it doesn’t hit your stuff so that you can go, alright, the really great ones don’t teach that. Now there is a stage in your growth where it is better to be moving away from that than getting lost in it. So no one’s going to deny the different stages of your growth, but we’re talking about real meaning of life. That can’t be the meaning of life. Why? Because that stuff that you have inside, she doesn’t have. So who’s to say she should be renouncing money and you shouldn’t or anything?
What you define what you should renounce? Is that what you should be working with? You literally said, I can’t handle this, so keep it away from me as we go deeper in this talk. You don’t understand it should be I can’t handle this, bring it on. I need to let this go. I can’t go anywhere with this anchor. This is holding me down. All this stuff that I stored in here. So to renounce everything so it doesn’t hit my stuff, it’s wonderful. It’s wonderful. You do whatever you need to do whenever you need to do it. But if we’re going to come here, we’re going to talk real deep meaning of life. That can’t be the meaning of your life. Why? You just kept that stuff inside and maybe you can have a high state temporarily, but you’re coming back because you got an anchor in there.
So that can be teach some people. So drugs, do drugs do this. Anything you have to do in order to be okay means what? That you’re not okay. It means I’m not. Okay. Well, if you’re not okay and you have to do something to be okay, you’re still not okay. And if that’s something you’re doing goes away, you’re really not okay. And that goes for everything. So it’s not about renouncing, it’s not about getting what’s it about? It’s about finally getting quiet and realizing I did this. I stored this stuff in here. Yes, situations happen. It’s very easy to blame someone who did the thing that I didn’t like, but I’m the one that couldn’t handle it. I’m the one that didn’t let it go through. I’m the one that stored it inside of me. I’m the one who pushes it back down every time it comes back up.
I am the doer in the end. I’m in here doing this and you’re the only one that can free yourself. Yes, you can temporarily have deep meditations or have drugs or have this or have that or have something that helps you feel high for a moment. Something that just temporarily lets you transcend your stuff because it distracted you from yourself. It’s distracting you from yourself so you don’t have to feel yourself. Well, yourself is a very great thing. You made it all dirty. You need to clean it, not distract yourself from it. Then you’re still carrying it. So now we talk about how does one do real growth. They finally reached the point of realizing real growth means not putting more stuff in there. Let’s do it slowly. First. I don’t want to put more stuff in here. I’ve already got enough stuff in here.
How about you? I got enough sensitive spots. I got enough sore spots, I got enough issues. I don’t want to put any more in here and I want to eventually let go of what I stored in here. I couldn’t handle it. The only reason you store stuff in here is you can’t handle it otherwise it goes through, it passes through. It’s just like wow, beautiful experience listening to music. It’s beautiful music and it’s taking you away. Unless your ex-girlfriend used to play the french horn and this is a french horn solo. All of a sudden the music’s not doing that for you anymore, is it? You see, you stored this stuff in there. So not only do you not put more in, but you understand the meaning of your life is don’t put more in and learn to let go of what’s in there every moment of your life.
Not when you meditate. Yes, of course you do this. I’m not telling you not meditate. I’m not telling you not to relate. Believe me, don’t do that. I’m just trying to show you the highest of what it means to make something the pole star of your life, the ultimate meaning of your life. It doesn’t mean it happens right now. They call it a stairway to heaven. They didn’t say jump. You’re going to go through different stages, but I want to make sure you understand what’s going on. What’s the ultimate intent of what’s going on is to get this stuff out. And when you get this stuff out back to the garden, you’re filled with ecstasy. Literally, if you’re depressed right now, you’re not depressed. You’re the consciousness looking at a completely screwed up psyche. Aren’t you? Just have something happen and all of a sudden you’re happy again.
It’s so funny. The consciousness is pure. Nothing happens to it. It’s that projector light that shines through the film. What do I care what particular film that’s shining through right now? It’s the same light and ultimately it’s all it is is that light. You’re the one who got lost in the projection on the screen. So you understand the meaning of your life is to let go of this garbage is stored inside, not stored anymore and let go. And then what you’ll see is you’ll see the light. You’ll just absolutely feel all this Shakti, you feel all this ecstasy. Now the question is, okay, fine. So the meaning of your life is purification. The meaning of your life as Christ put is dying to be reborn, is dying of the personal self of this stuff that you’re holding in there that you call yourself human. You are not human.
It’s not even a part of this human that’s like saying I’m not the light, I’m the projection on the screen. I’m that car. No, you’re not. Well then on that car, no you’re not. Well then I’m that couple. No you’re not. You’re the light shining. That’s what you are. Your pure consciousness shining through the filter of the garbage you stored in there and that’s why the world looks the way it does to you. So the purpose of your life is to cleanse, is to not put any more in and let go of the garbage is stored in there. What’s my technique then? That is the technique. That is the technique. Every other technique is a way of trying to do this. Like the technique of renunciation. Well, I have all this stuff in here and I keep fighting with it so at least if I don’t deal with the things, I don’t have to fight with it.
So it’s a little bit better. Same thing, you’re trying to avoid this stuff, but it doesn’t work that way. You have to get rid of it To be free, to be liberated is the same thing with every single spiritual thing you do. Read the Bible or the Gita. Why is that spiritual? Because while you be doing elder wise, it takes your consciousness off of the impurities that you built up in here and it tries to raise your consciousness during that time. For things that are a little bit higher than that, a book can’t take you there, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have meaning. It’s a higher thing to do to put some time aside and go to church or go to temple or synagogue to do something or to meditate. Then it is to go about your business of trying to get what you want and avoid what you don’t want, which is what you do all the time, isn’t it?
Alright, that’s not going to get you anywhere. That’s like giving in. It’s like saying I’m addicted, I’m addicted to heroin. Get me some, I’ll be okay if you get me some, I’m sure you will. I’ll be okay if I get what I want. That’s exactly like I’ll be okay if you give me heroin, but we’re caught so it’s very hard to listen to this. Alright? And you’re not going to let it go right away, I’m tell me you don’t even think about it. You’ll go out there and do what you do your thing, but somewhere in that depth you’re going to remember what we’re talking about, what the meaning of your life is and it’s transcendent to all these things you think you need in order to be okay, which are just things that distract you from the garbage you stored inside. So the meaning of your life is letting go of this stuff, letting go of this stuff.
That’s it. How does one go about that? How does one do that? Well, like I say, there’s all these different teachers, all these different teachings and they’re all wonderful and they’re all helpful and so on. Ultimately, ultimately people come to me, something they say, don’t I have to have a guru? When you are ready to use your will and your wisdom and your focus and your intent to do what I just talked about, I guarantee you every match that ever walked the face of the earth alive or dead will be completely dedicated to your growth. You wouldn’t be able to fight ’em away with a stick. It’s like sitting there saying, I’m the mother, this is my child. Should I help it? Of course you’re going to help it. I’m a Jew. Christ would lay down his life over and over again if I want to devote myself to his teachings.
Does it make the slightest difference what your religion is? Do you understand that? And the same thing goes for Buddha. He would come out of his depth of meditation of somebody to help anybody who reached their hand up even slightly knowing what religion they are and about a creed or caste or anything. Just the fact that they have devoted themselves to the ascent. Anyone that is higher than you will attempt to help. So there’s my thing, whether you need to find a guru, let them find you okay? As opposed to go running around the haal and run Dasra, dhr. You do the work within yourself. You caught on. I cause the trouble. I’m the only one who lives in here and I need to be willing to work with my stuff. I need to be willing to die to be reborn. So how does one do that?
How does one do that? What you’ll find out is one way you don’t do that, although you will, is to develop concepts and views and opinions and preferences and hopes and dreams about spirituality just like you did about the world. Make as much of a mess of your mind about the spiritual path as you do about the regular worldly things. It’s not hard to do. It’s called spiritual ego. People do it all the time. Very few people make it past that. Instead of working with their stuff, they want to define themselves. I’m there, I’m enlightened. I’m so high, nothing bothers me, okay, nothing bothers me. That’s just changing your mental thought. Believe me, eagle will be very glad to do it just so it can survive. It wants to survive. You built this thing and it’s a monster. So how does one go about it?
What you’ll find is not only will you find that this works, you’ll ultimately find is the only thing that works. You get up in the morning and you realize what does the meaning of my life? It’s not to get married, not that you don’t not to have a child, not that you don’t not to get a better job. Not that you don’t. Nobody’s saying you don’t work with life, but more important that life works with you. So this talks about life is your guru. Life is your guru. It’s the highest guru you’ll ever have. Why? Because life will hit your stuff. And guess what? It’s not trying. If the stuff is there, it’s going to get hit unless you manipulate life so it doesn’t hit it. So like I said, if you broke up with someone who played the french horn, nobody knows that. It’s like God’s up there getter, get her with the french horn.
Come on, nobody has. The system is so perfect that nobody has to do anything. It’s so fulfilling. You’ve got some stuff about a French horn, nobody else does. At some point there’s going to be a French horn somewhere and it’s going to hit your stuff. Why? Because you got stuff. You had a relationship, it didn’t work out so good. So now your attitude about those male fellows is men. So now anytime she sees a man, men, it’s just not a nice experience that has nothing to do with men. It has to do with the fact that we didn’t do well with those people and now we have stuff about it. It could just as well be women. Anything. I develop something inside myself that can’t handle foreigners, they can’t handle Jews, they can’t handle Catholics, they can’t handle born to being Christians. Can’t handle atheists. Anything you want, you can screw yourself about can’t. You did that and you think you’re right. That’s what’s hilarious. You literally not only stored this stuff, you justify the stuff. You think I’m the one who’s right. That’s why I said to you the intent of the purpose of your life is to get rid of that stuff. It’s not right. It can’t be right, it’s not right. That’s why you have a right and I have a right. Let’s fight about it. Let’s vote about it.
It’s hilarious. There’s no right or wrong. There’s just free or not free. There’s just meaning of life. Attunement with the divine oneness. If God is everything, he’s black, he’s white, he’s Jewish, he’s Christian, he’s Christ, he’s Buddha, he’s everything. He’s an atheist too. That’s the favorite part of God. The one that doesn’t believe in himself. I like that one the most. Come on, think about it for a second. If God is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient, he’s everything everywhere. So which one isn’t he? There are no such thing. So it’s the one who’s willing to let go of their garbage that is going to grow and how much of his garbage, all of it, all the personal stuff that you collected across your life, over your life that makes you like things, not like things. Believe in things, not believe in things. It’s way past that.
The third zen patriarch, one of the deepest writings ever written in zen tradition starts with the great way is not difficult for those who have no preferences, when love and hate are both absent, everything is clear and undisguised make the slightest distinction and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart to set aside what you like from what you dislike is a disease of the mind. Avoid such pursuits carefully. Now, zen’s deep stuff, by the way, when it said love and hate or absent, it means positive and negative and dislike. It’s just translation. So what that’s telling you is as long as you have stuff in there, you can’t be enlightened because your consciousness is lost in your stuff. So those you are walking around and think you’re spiritual and think that your views are spiritual, there are no spiritual views, there’s just things that you decided to believe in and you can point to reasons you got, reasons why it’s that way, don’t you?
And your reasons are always going to seem right, why you developed them. You had this experience with this type of people, that type of people, that type of whatever the heck it is. And so you stored that in there and so now you literally had the experience. It’s not something you made up. I had the experience, I know what I’m talking about. I’m right. Somebody else had a different experience. They feel just as strongly. Look at the polarity that exists now in politics and all this kind of stuff. Who’s right? Used to be a line in the song from the sixties. It says, how can everybody be right if everybody’s wrong? It’s like, stop this. You’re not right. There is no right. There’s just universal oneness. There’s just here. Get all uptight with what’s going on that screen and start fighting with each other on a screen about who’s right and whose car is the best and whose religion is right.
And I’ll just stand back there and look at that light bulb. Alright, get back. Stop buying into your garbage. But it won’t happen right away, but at least you’re listening, okay? That’s what liberation means. It doesn’t mean you’re free from life, you freed yourself from yourself and then everything’s free. So basically, how do you do this? Instead of saying, I’m going to make life be what I need it to be, for me to be okay. And by the way, how do you know that it’s right? Well, when I get in my way, I feel great. I feel Shakti, I feel love. It has to be right. That does not make it right, it just means it matched your stuff. I guarantee you, take a Hell’s Angel guy or a gal, okay, take somebody real brutal type of person, right? And they get off, I’m beating people up.
They feel the same joy that you feel when you hug and kiss and love, alright? Or when you win or need to do good business. If you’re open, you feel the shati. If you’re open, you feel this stuff. So don’t get caught, please, I’m begging you don’t get caught in this concept of right that you have just because you feel something. The reality is the meaning of your life is purification. The meaning of life is liberation. The meaning of life as Christ put it is dying to be reborn. You die of the personal and what’s left is the light bulb and you beat that light bulb and you change the world like he did and Buddha did and those the great ones. And so basically now you’re looking at it, that’s a very deep state. How do I get there? It’s a deep, deep, deep commitment to realizing if I have stuff in here, the world’s going to hit it.
That’s just reality, isn’t it? Okay, I dunno how to explain it to you. It’s like you had an argument with somebody yesterday. You don’t want to see ’em today. Do you may walk around the block then I have to see them. Come on. You’ve done it. Okay? If you have stuff in there, life is going to hit it. And if you want to say it, that’s God purposely take it. No, no, it’s just because it’s in there, it gets hit. It’s just very, very simple. God created a universe that is self-fulfilling. It’s just perfect. If you’re so in love with your new Ferrari or Tesla that you parked in the back parking lot where no one could get near it and that’s your whole thing. If that thing gets a scratch on it, you’re in trouble. You did that. You made that life. It’s a scratch. Scratch just happens. I open the door but you can’t handle it. Well this is something you did not that somebody opened the door. It’s the same thing in a relationship. This is my special person. I love them. They should be loyal to me. What does that mean? They shouldn’t dance with anybody else. And if they do, they should walk away after 15 seconds and say, no, I want to be with him or her and I want to see it. Have fun guys.
You’re not going to are you? The relationship will be the most suffering you ever had. Yes or no? It’s not that anybody’s doing anything. You already did it and so you can’t handle stuff. And now again, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t deal with stuff that I keep having to say that because you get lost in thinking you’re supposed to do this. No, just listen. So how do I get rid of my stuff? Instead of protecting yourself from life, which is protecting your stuff. You get up in the morning and you say, remember the meaning of my life is liberation. The meaning of my life is back to God. That’s the meaning of my life and my day is devoted to that journey. What part of your day? My relationship day, my food day, my work day, my coming home day, my boss day, my coworker’s day, my every single thing of this day has one meaning back to God, liberating me, freeing me from myself.
Okay, well that’s a nice thing to wake up for in the morning and tell it right now. Every morning, remember the meaning of your life. You don’t just think about the meaning of your life when you’re dying. That’s the meaning of your life. That’s the purpose. Right? Now what do I do? You get up how? Just get up. Well, which foot should I put out first? It doesn’t matter. Just get out, get bed. Okay, what do I do next? Maybe you take a shower, you can be there, you’re doing normal things, you’re not getting weird. Well, will I eat? I don’t know. I’m going to tell you what to eat or what not to eat. There’ll be food and work with it and do what works for you. Well what if there’s one food that makes me sick to my stomach and I don’t want to eat it and the other food makes me feel really good?
Which one should I eat? The food. It makes you feel good. There’s nothing complicated about this. It’s not about your clothes, it’s not about the food. It’s not about a book you read. It’s not about any of that. It’s about are you willing to let go of what life hits? Here’s some food. It’s not exactly what you like. It’s a breakfast, okay? And it’s corn flakes and you like oat milk, but there’s just regular cow milk. Alright, well what am I going to do? I’m going to use the cow milk because I’m not going to eat raw corn flakes, but boy am I going to complain while I’m eating it. I will get myself so sick I can’t stand cow. My gosh, have fun because you won’t. Or sit there and say, next time I’ll remember to buy the oat milk. Okay, nice boy. Remember the oat milk?
You didn’t have the oat milk. So here’s your wife or husband’s or kids. Cow milk and can I do it? That may be it’s soy milk instead of cow milk. But anyways, whatever it is, can you surrender? Take what’s reality in front of you to the best of your ability and let go of that part of you that is ruling your life. Can you do that? That’s spiritual growth. It’s beyond concepts or views or opinions or preferences or hopes or dreams. It’s just reality. Can you handle reality without getting weird? Because if you can, then that part of you that was going to get weird about it can let go. What about you have a relationship and you really like being around somebody and eating with them and they’re not there, they have to work today or they went on a vacation or did something.
Can you sit down at that table and enjoy your breakfast or do you have to, oh my god, I miss him so much, I can’t handle this. What are we were eating together. I’d be giving the cornflakes and be spoonful to them and it went to me. Hello? You can’t handle reality. That’s what’s being asked of you. Not all these opinions and causes and views and techniques and things, can you handle reality that’s unfolding in front of you? And if not, why not? And the answer’s always the same because I’ve had past experiences that I stored inside and that one because I liked eating with somebody and the other one because I don’t like this or that I stored this stuff inside and now I am unable to handle reality. Your spiritual path is you’re supposed to be the highest species on the evolutionary ladder, aren’t you?
What did Darwin say were the characteristics of a higher species? Adaptability. Survival of the fittest. Well, you can’t survive eating breakfast alone without your girlfriend. You can’t survive somebody dancing with somebody else. You can’t survive. That’s somebody else got the corner office. You can’t survive that. The boss criticized for what you did at that work last night when you worked so hard can you? You’re unable to handle reality because you got yourself screwed up with all these preferences and concepts and views and opinions. Spirituality is to say to life, bring it on and if it hits my stuff, I’m going to learn to let go. Now you will not be good at this. Certainly not to start with, which is why I teach what I teach. Don’t start with the big things. Don’t even try. Don’t even think about it. If you’re screwed up about a relationship, be screwed about the relationship I’m try to make, believe it or not, okay, fine. Now, okay, I’m screw about the relationship, but can I handle that? The driver in front of me turned right and didn’t use his blinker
And the answer is especially I’m screw about the relationship. No, I can’t handle it, handle it just for kicks. Use situations that unfold in life that tend to cause you to complain, to close, to say, no, I’m not closing. Alright, so it’s not a misunderstanding, it surrender means whatever life does, you just let it do whatever life does first you handle, then you deal with it. But you handle it first and that’s what it means to let go of your stuff while you have stuff you can’t handle it. The stuff you have the most stuff about, you can’t handle anything about it, can you? If your ex-husband’s name was Ben and you really had a really bad divorce, I told you if you’re over there in London at a party and you’re having fun and somebody yells out, Ben, Ben, you close. He’s not even there.
He died five years ago. You still close. Alright, now we’re talking. This is your spiritual growth. Learn to work with things so you learn to let go of them, which if I can handle what’s happening, I gave room for the reason I couldn’t handle it to release. So if I can’t handle this pure psychology, but they don’t teach you deep enough, okay? It is like if I can’t handle the word Ben, it means I got some stuff in there about that divorce, don’t I? About that whole relationship. So it’s not handle Ben, it’s if I can handle them calling Ben and I never was able to before, okay, fine, it’s getting upset. Relax. I gave room for the whole relationship to go away, to be done, to finish its journey through the universe. It doesn’t go away, it just finishes fine. If you see Ben after that, after you work with that, you’ll feel love.
Listen, you’ve married to the guy for 10 years, it’s kind of special. You’ll never not have a special relationship with Ben compared to everybody else in the world. Okay, well which relationship you want to have? The one that makes you angry and hurt and terrible or oh boy, we really grew together. Thank you. You can literally have a terrible relationship with somebody. Break your heart when they broke you up, use it for your growth and after a number of years, realize they were the greatest thing that ever happened for you because they help you let go of your garbage, help you let go of your stuff and you just do that with everything. So life is now your groove. I told you once, back in my early growth days, I was in solitude, meditating all the time. So I drove my van up to Canada by myself and it stopped every three hours and meditating.
Oh boy, he was something, alright. And I drove. I was very strict. I was doing zen and I drove up there and was Alabama somewhere. I just driving through and I went into this little broken down country store and they were all country folks or I’ve never seen them the rest of my life. And I dropped some of the change on the floor, a couple of pennies or nickels, something like that. And literally Mickey in here who’d been meditating, is so strict, was embarrassed to bend down and pick him up. That means he did something wrong. He and the person behind the counters up there and he didn’t want to bend down to pick him up. That means that moment was an essence of growth for me. What difference, you’re driving through this? No, we’ll never see anybody ever again and he’s still weird. Anybody know anything I’m talking about?
So you bend down and you use it for your spiritual growth. Something as simple as that. You hear me and you bother to bend down and pick it up and if you blush, you blush and you walk up there and you just let go. Go of that. So you don’t have to have that inside of you all the time you purify. You work with life to let go of yourself all the time to the best of your ability, but you won’t be able to do it so good all the time, will you? You’ll get into the elevator and you’ll burp you and you just stand there in the corner. Don’t look at me. Or you’d draw some ketchup on your pants at lunch. You don’t want to go back to work. You keep putting things over it. Those are your moments of growth. That’s when life is your guru.
You can look at it that way, that God, nobody was going to embarra you drop ketchup. You can realize that at some point you’re going to drop a hatch up on your pants. You’re going to do something right? Stop blaming God or regret, just deal with it thing. Okay? It’s reality. I got catch up on my pants. And then watch yourself when you go to work trying to cover it up and then don’t a whole day of sadana. That’s what spiritual practice is. Sadana, you’re purifying, you’re cleansing. So surrender means that it means letting go of the part of you that can’t handle reality. And what’s going to happen if you do with small things I beg you to do with small things, you’re going to find out you actually got better at it. Just like you get better at piano. When you practice scales, get better at tennis.
When you practice with a coach, you’ll get better at handling reality, which is the meaning of your life. The day you are able to walk out there and have it all come and you handle it, it merges through. Does that mean you don’t feel anything? It means not only do you handle what happened, but you handle what you feel because it happened and all of them come in and pass through. It’s not like I have no feelings. They asked Robert Krish a great fully enlightened master, does an enlighten being ever feel anger? He said, yes, but it’s like writing on water. When you write on water, who can read it? Nobody. It passes right through. So what difference does it make? I had a bad thought. So what if it passes through? It’s just like any other thought in the universe. No. Is this sin? No, it’s not anything. It’s just a thought passing through. I said something stupid when I was around a bunch of people. So what?
Well, they won’t think nicely of me. So, okay, I mean, what are you doing? Because I’m not okay. I need people to be nice to me and like me, you see? And the reason I’m not okay, I stored all this stuff inside. I’d rather let the stuff go and have everybody despise the ground. I walk on and be an ecstasy while I’m doing it. How about you? And so you’re letting go of these concepts and realizing there’s only one reason to care what people think about you. You need something from them. You need their affection. You need their acceptance because you’re not okay. It’s because you have this stuff inside. If you don’t have that stuff inside, it’s not like that. And guess what happens? Everybody wants to be with you because you’re emanating all this light and love. In any event, you get to the point where you realize the meaning of your life is ecstasy.
The meaning of your life is self-realization. Really life is God merger. And you can use every moment of your life, every moment is there for you. You have to go anywheres, it comes to you and it hits your stuff there. Are you willing to let go? And then the next step goes and I’ll stop. Because people misunderstand, letting go mean you’re a doormat that life walks over. Letting go means life unfolds and it comes in. Can you handle it? Letting go means letting go of the part of you that can’t handle it. Instead of justifying or yelling or screaming, just relax. Relax and try to let it go. Give it to God. There there’s your techniques. Alright? Let’s say it comes in and you’re embarrassed. It hurt. You thought you did something stupid. Get your hand under it. Grab the whole little ego. You pick it up and give it to the universe.
Just give it to the universe here. You take this, we give flowers to the masters. No, give that to the masters. They’d rather have that. Just give your stuff away. Be willing to give your stuff away. Keep letting go. Then what? Then when you’re relatively clearer, instead of reactive and defending, look outside and see, am I supposed to be dealing with this? Is this something I’m supposed to do? This is so funny. I’m a nice Jewish yogi and I can take everything I’m teaching and turn it of Christ’s teachings. What does that mean? If somebody spits at you, let it go, then deal with it. Not react because you can’t handle this. Someone spit at you. What happens? Somebody slaps your cheek, give ’em the other cheek. That’s what Christ said, the exact same teachings. Handle it. Handle it. Then deal with it. You’re not dealing with it.
You’re just not reacting to the fact that you couldn’t handle it. Does every understand the difference? If you’re reacting to the fact that you couldn’t handle it, it’s just your ego. You’re just reinforcing your garbage. If you can handle it, just inside, handle it. Then look to see if it’s something’s supposed to do. So let’s do it anyways. You face stuff and let go of your stuff. That’s why it’s there. Period all the time. Can business bring your stuff up? Can relationship bring your stuff up? Can children bring your stuff up? Can pets bring your stuff up? You see everything can bring your stuff up. That’s why you’re here. That’s how you use life as your guru. So there’s my talk on life as your guru.
